Vittorio Campana was born in Rome on February 10, 1990. After completing his studies at the Language High School, he graduated from the three-year photography course at the Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication in Rome, in the historic San Lorenzo district. He specializes in Architecture photography. Vittorio Campana’s creative approach is based on a visual balance of lines, light, and shadows, where every component of the image is reduced to the essentials. His artistic vision emphasizes simple compositions, characterized by sharp lines, geometric shapes, and empty spaces, which give the image a sense of order and rigor. The human figure is never at the center of the composition but is rather an element well integrated into the overall scene, where all components become main subjects. The use of printing on plexiglass, a transparent material that allows light to filter through and projects the shadows of the photograph onto the surface behind, offers the viewer a new perspective of the image, adding depth. This is how his photographic works, which he calls “Transparencies,” come to life.
