The Andrea Ingenito Contemporary Art Gallery is pleased to announce the third edition of “DIECIXDIECI” which will be held from Friday, December 1, 2023 (opening H 18:00) to January 13, 2024. On this edition, the curator Andrea Ingenito has selected works by ten masters of contemporary art from the postwar to the present: Franco Angeli, Alighiero Boetti , Roberto Crippa , Tano Festa, Giorgio Griffa, Renato Guttuso, Mimmo Paladino, Arnaldo Pomodoro , Mario Schifano , Damien Hirst.
An annual appointment that the gallerist has started in December 2020 and will be repeated every year around the christmas holiday to pay tribute to the great artists with whom the gallery works most.
Among the works selected in this third edition, particularly significant are: a large-scale Schifano from Mazzoli Colection, a tapestry from Boetti’s “Kabul” series , a precious oil on canvas by Guttuso, a diptych on paper by Mimmo Paladino late 1970s (pre-transavantgarde), a rare geometric work by Crippa and, finally, a 2009 “Butterfly Spin Painting” by Damien Hirst, a unique work on paper.
Enriching the opening night will be the “Duo Archi Barocchi” Tina Pugliese (cello) and Sergio Carnevale (violin) from the Association “Festival Barocco Napoletano” who will present a session of live music from the Neapolitan Baroque.
